My first book, Anything but Dreams, is published through iUniverse and is available through any online retailer, or orderable at any bookstore.

iUniverse has chosen my book as a Member's Choice title, which means it's good.  Damn good.  They rate their books on a scale of 1-375 with only the books that attain a score of 335 or greater being considered for Member's choice.  Anything but Dreams scored 360 out of 375.  The reviewer of my book had this to say:

This is well written poetry.  The poetry is usually multi-layered, and can be taken with more than one meaning.  The following poem was chosen as a close read as one that uses shampooing one’s hair as a metaphor for one’s tendency to get stuck in a rut.

Rinse Repeat

You rinsed your hair
Of the one that wronged you
Rinse repeat
It just becomes you
Follow the same pattern
Do it all over again
With someone new this time
Leaving you later wondering why
It happened again
And keeps happening
Much to your chagrin
But it's bound to happen
Since you follow directions
So well it seems
Rinse repeat

This clever metaphor is illustrative of the unique way the author looks at life.  The
reader gets the feeling that the author looks at many common situations in a manner
that is slightly askew from the norm.  The author is “fully present” in the moment,
rather than simply following rote patterns in life.  This allows him to provide insight
        and observation into human behavior.

His writing style is down to earth—even a little dry and sarcastic at times.  The poem         Observation Cookies is just plain funny! The ease of reading these poems causes
them to be thought provoking while not obtuse.  The topics of his poetry range from
the mundane  (Bad Lazy Font) to the sublime (Perfect Loaf).  The author also
possesses an excellent use of vocabulary, enabling him to describe imagery vividly.

It is clear that the author is a true artist.  He sees life as an artist does, and then
artfully recreates it using words.  This is the essence of a poet.

You have a strong talent for writing, and could easily become one of the
        prominent poets of your generation.
